Atom for Windows

Atom is a free and open source text editor developed by GitHub. Atom has support for plugins that can extend functionality even further. It is a recommended editor for web development and software development.

Instructions for installation

  1. Use the above link or search for "download atom editor" in Google or any other search engine.(Make sure you are connected to the Internet)
  2. Open the download page.
  3. Click the download button.(It should be the largest button in the page)
  4. Wait for the download to complete.
  5. Click on the downloaded file to start the Installation.
  6. Wait for the installation to be complete.
  7. A new Atom window should appear automatically.
  8. If the window doesn’t open automatically search for "Atom" in the taskbar.
  9. Once the window appears, you can pin the software to your taskbar by right clicking on the icon and selecting the pin to taskbar option.
